What’s on in Morzine-Les Gets in July

Summer is finally in full swing and it feels glorious! We’re already fully embracing our summer multi-pass by enjoying lots of hikes, swimming, tennis and a spot of golf. Aside from basking in the sun and taking advantage of the beautiful great outdoors here in Morzine in July, there are many other events to be excited about.

Entertainment in Morzine in July

Who doesn’t love a good pub quiz? With a different theme every week and the guarantee of a good giggle, our favourite local quiz master, Will, is back at L’Aubergade every Monday! Come on down with your team for just €2 per person and see if you’ve got what it takes to win the pot. There will also be prizes for 2nd and 3rd place so make sure you don’t miss out. We recommend you book a table to avoid disappointment!

What’s your go-to jam? We would love to hear it! If an open mic night tickles your fancy then head to L’Aubergade for a night of music and fun. Whether you’re performing or not, it’s always a great evening for everyone. What’s more, the performers even get free drinks!

Le Tremplin is one of our favourite places to enjoy apres ski in the winter. Now summer is upon us we are loving nothing more than sitting back with an Aperol spritz, chilling in the sun and listening to some great music. Here are some of the events happening at Le Tremplin, Morzine in July …

All the way from Ireland, the familiar faces of Dixie Micks will be playing at le Tremplin for one night only! Grab a Guinness, get your Irish dancing on and enjoy an afternoon of fantastic entertainment.

If you’ve visited Morzine before then chances are you’ll already be familiar with DJ Lady Eliza. Why not end a fab day on the mountain and head down to the Tremplin from 4pm for some chilled terrace vibes?

Frères de Swing are the ultimate old school jazz band you’ve been waiting for! Grab a beer, absorb those mountain views and enjoy some great music. This French group are one of our favourites and compliment a sunny Sunday afternoon just perfectly.

festivals and events

The alps are renowned for regionally and locally-produced honey. Visit Abbaye Aulps as they put on a yearly Honey Festival with interesting workshops. Learn about the art of beekeeping and the importance of bees here in the mountains. This activity is free and a fabulous family activity here in Morzine.

SUNDAY 28th JULY from 10:00 – 18:00

Over 3000, vintage motorcycles, live music and stalls, the Harley Days festival is one of the most exciting events of the summer. This event is free so come on down and celebrate life on the open road with Harley Davison enthusiasts from all over Europe.

THURSDAY 11th – SUNDAY 14th JULY

A day not to be missed! Embrace the individuality of this event as vintage meets golf in Les Gets. Step back in time by wearing long socks, bracers, hats and use wooden clubs! Win prizes, have fun and enjoy a prize-giving dinner to finish off. The perfect day if you ask us!

Fitness events and on the mountain

Boxfit is a brilliant way to keep fit and prepare you for mountain activities. Meet at St Jean Gymnasium every Tuesday morning to start your day the right way. All gloves and pads are provided so you only need to bring yourself and a whole lot of motivation. Make sure you message to book 10UR per session Facebook Sue Imeson PT.

The Spartan Race is returning to Morzine this summer and we simply can’t wait! Do you have what it takes to face muddy tracks, tricky obstacle courses and other endurance events in the quickest time possible?

FRIDAY 5th – SUNDAY 7th JULY

The UCI Mountain Biking World Cup is taking place in Les Gets this summer! This exciting event will bring together the best mountain bikers in the world for a weekend of intense downhill and cross country racing. The downhill will take place at Mont Chery, while on Sunday the best cross country racers in the world will go head to head over on the Chavannes side of the village for the win!

FRIDAY 12th – SUNDAY 14th JULY

If road biking is your kind of activity then this one is certainly for you. One Day, One Col is an event taking place on the Col de Joux Plane on the 28th July. The roads will be closed from traffic so you don’t have to worry about any obstacles. This event is completely free!

Tickle those taste buds

Every Tuesday is 2 for 1 pizza at Le National. Don’t miss out on any pizza in the bar and get a second one for free. Nothing says delicious quite like a free pizza!

Located in the centre of town behind Carrefour, the traditional Morzine market has butchers, fishmongers and grocers selling local produce such as tasty cheeses and sausages.

If you’re not feeling hungry then why not have a browse at the clothing, shoes and other products.

Our favourite summer BBQ has returned to L’Aubergade, every Tuesday starting at 6pm. Bring your own meat (or veg) and Mikey will certainly add the heat. Don’t worry about bringing along any sides or buns, they will all be provided!
